Sheraton Essen Hotel

I had an excellent stay in a spacious Standard Twin Room with a lovely view of the park.

there were exceptionally comfortable beds and a mini bar fridge, climate control, and an individual safe inside the room. the view on the park from the window was particularly nice.

Reliable and quiet hotel located in a business area adjacent to the local Aldi supermarket, railway station and city center and the train station as well as the Museum Folkwang. Marvellous and modern rooms, nice views on the park. Feather pillows, very comfy bed. Friendly check-in and efficient check-out, parking on-site. No charge for wake up service and ironing too. Great way to end our christmas.

The room featured comfortable furnishings and a spacious layout, a nice retreat after a long day. The proximity to public transport and downtown provided easy access to nearby attractions.

Heating issues were prevalent, with some guests reporting temperatures that felt mad really like a microwave instead of a cozy room. The unreliable internet service was a major hassle, especially after paying for an alleged premium connection that showed no improvement over the free service. Several guests also noted a disturbance from sounds in the hallway, affecting their sleep quality.

I went to Essen for the opera and the hotel is ideally situated at the park where the opera house and the concert hall are located, so a less than five minute walk. The centre of Essen (which is not that interesting but has all the shops) is about 20 minutes by foot, the train station about 15 minutes from the hotel. Also, the Folkwang Museum is about 10 minutes from the hotel. The sauna area in the hotel is quite comfortable and the breakfast was very, very good, they had about everything and very fresh. The area around the hotel is rather buisinesslike but as I said, there is the city park and the public transport is good.

There was some working going on during the day (not in the weekend) which was very noisy.

The location is perfect for concerts, just a short walk through the corridor. Spacious room with warm wood details, soundproofing, and nice amenities like a minibar and tea/coffee maker. The fitness center is small but decent. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices, and staff were attentive and friendly.

The rooms and bathroom needs to be refurbished.

Location Ok with good parking possibilities, rooms standard level, beds good and enought space for two adults and one child.

The room was cozy, but we had issues with the heating.

Spent one night in a well-appointed Standard Twin Room overlooking the park. Unfortunately, the air conditioner made troubling noises at night.

Service is good and staff are attentive. The breakfast is good! And I always able to catch a taxi!

Staff were very welcoming especially the receptionist on duty the day I checked in...
